Terms of Service

Effective date: 1 January 2026

By downloading or using Cora Novel (“the app”), you agree to these terms. Please read them. They’re written to be understood, not to obscure.

1. License

When you purchase Cora Novel on the Mac App Store, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to install and use the app on any Mac associated with your Apple ID, in accordance with Apple’s standard App Store terms.

You may not redistribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the app.

2. Your content

Everything you write in Cora belongs to you. We claim no rights over your manuscripts, notes, drafts, or any other content you create with the app.

3. No warranties

Cora is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it reliable and bug-free, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or that the app will meet every requirement.

Always keep backups of your writing. Cora saves to standard files on your disk — back them up with Time Machine, iCloud Drive, or any other method you trust.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, lost profits, or indirect damages arising from your use of the app.

5. Updates

We may update the app from time to time. Updates delivered through the Mac App Store are subject to the same license. We reserve the right to change features, but we will not remove core writing functionality without notice.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Erasing is registered, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

7. Changes to these terms

Material changes will be reflected in an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
