Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 January 2026

Cora Novel is built around a single principle: your writing belongs to you. This policy explains how Cora handles your writing and the limited diagnostic information Apple may make available through the App Store.

What we collect

App Store diagnostics

Cora does not collect analytics or usage data from the app. Apple may provide developers with aggregated App Store diagnostics and usage insights that cannot be tied to you or your writing.

You can opt out of sharing Apple analytics at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Your writing

Cora never reads, transmits, or stores your writing on any server. Your .cora files live entirely on your device (or in your own iCloud Drive, which is governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not ours).

Contact enquiries

If you contact us by email, we keep your email address and the content of your message in order to respond to you. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

What we do not collect

iCloud

If you save your projects to iCloud Drive, Apple’s iCloud service handles storage and sync. That data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We have no access to files in your iCloud Drive.

Third parties

Cora does not share any personal data with third parties. The app has no third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or analytics services beyond what Apple provides natively.

Children

Cora is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Cora after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
